Business Development Manager

Reporting to: Sales Director
Location: London
Salary: £50k base DOE + commission and car allowance

Job Role

As Business Development Manager, you will assume a very hands-on role, driving revenue growth of our client’s products and services into the EMEA market. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated self-starter to be part of a growing and successful company

Principal Accountabilities

  • Become a trusted advisor by creating a high level of confidence with each client and channel partner;
  • Drive winning sales strategies and solutions that leverage our client’s service strengths whilst gaining a true understanding of the personal win-results of each level of corporate buyer;
  • Drive strong lead generation activities within the marketplace and channel partners; driving new business sales with prospective accounts and developing new business within existing accounts;
  • Demonstrate self-management and motivation, effectively prioritising activities.

Key Skill and Experience Requirements

  • Strong presentation and selling skills;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, business environment;
  • Good knowledge of competitor activity within appropriate markets;
  • A minimum of 5-8 years successful selling experience;
  • Business development and/or channel management experience executing sales campaigns and developing new client relationships;
  • Strong experience driving proposal strategy for major bids and unsolicited proposals is a definite requirement;
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have experience or in-depth understanding of advanced solution and service-led technologies - particularly video communications, IP, VOIP;
  • BA Hons or BSc degree preferred;
  • Intermediate PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoin
